Aurora

Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 1995, from Stavanger) is an Norwegian music producer and a singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well received by music blogs. She's recorded a variety of well-known cover songs, including Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole), which are widely loved. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway by her, gave the song a boost of recognition. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories involve finding an instrument hidden in her attic then becoming enthralled by the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes urged her to pursue music for development of her own, not to earn a living or as a hobby. The singer began to write her own songs. She has cited renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan for inspiration, as well as a love for Bjork's style. Responding to her mother's suggestions that her children ought not to aim at achieving fame through the songs she writes, but rather realize the importance of themselves and their impact on society. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument, at six. She began creating music after turning nine. Her family didn't have any idea about it until she was fourteen. The dream was never to become Aurora. The only thing she loves is writing music. For her music, is the most effective means of communicating anything.
