Professor Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. She has been widely recognized as a pioneer in the field of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory within legal contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded numerous grants, and has received several international and national prizes. She has collaborated with numerous government agencies and institutions across the world on policy and research relating to child victimized by the justice system. She works as a Consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a fellow of numerous professional associations, including those of the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychological Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
