Ashanti Shequoiya who is better popularly known as Ashanti, is a popular American singer and actress. She is a singer songwriter and actor who hails from in the United States. Ashanti started her career in the teen years, she was signed by Murder Inc. Records by 2002. In the that same year, she was featured on Fat Joe's What's Luv? The song "What's love?" by Fat Joe and Ja Rule, entitled Always on Time are both massive hits. When she released the single, What's Luv, at number two in the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and Foolish at number one featuring Foolish as her debut single, she was the first female to reach this feat.
